My Perspective on Training for the Industry

While I fundamentally believe that learning stage management comes from doing, going into a production with the basic skills and terminology sets one up for success.

Every production and process is unique and will create new ways to learn and grow, so I strongly believe that a stage manager has to be open to feedback and exploration and know that growing is essential. 

 

Meet Devon Muko

Devon Muko is the Resident Production Stage Manager at ZACH Theatre, having joined the company in 2023. She grew up in South Dakota, and received her B.F.A. in Theatre Technologies with an emphasis in Stage Management from The University of South Dakota. Devon’s background is strongly rooted in rotating repertory theatre, having spent her career working for a variety of companies including Asolo Repertory Theatre, Creede Repertory Theatre, The Santa Fe Opera, and FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training.
